MISSIONS

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”

Matt 9:37-38

EVERYMAN'S WELFARE SERVICE

In peace or in war, on Military Bases or in the field, Everyman’s Representatives seek to live up to their motto:

“Jesus Christ we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom; in order that we may bring each one to God, mature in Jesus Christ.”  Colossians 1:28.

Everyman's has existed since 1940, and seeks to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Australian Defence Force, allies and veterans. Everyman's Representatives, are not members of the Defence Force, but are civilians who have an honourary rank in the ADF. Everyman's Representatives seek to evangelize the soldiers in the field, in recreational centres on bases across Australia, as well as overseas on operations.

Ben Ridley, supported by his wife Claudia, has served as a missionary to the soldiers and fellow veterans of the Australian Defence Force since 2015, after having served in the Australian Army from 2004 - 2014. In 2018, Ben founded a new project called 'Everyman's Veterans League' which is specifically targeted to reach the Veteran community for Christ.

In 2023, after nearly 9 years of supporting Ben, Claudia joined the ministry work too, and became a part-time Everywoman's Rep, also attached to the 8th/9th Battalion.

In 2024, Bjorn Larsen, an ex-Army colleague of Ben's in the 8th/9th Battalion also joined Everyman's part-time.

Scripture For Today

"and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms"

Ephesians 1:19 - 20 (NIV)

Thought For Today

Something we all must consider is whether we observe the resurrection power of Christ in our lives?

Are we overcomers? Or does sin (anger, lust, coveting, etc.) and its power overcome us?
